CS

  • Updated game system.
  • Implemented lobby scene.
  • Implemented controller vibration.
  • Implemented screen shake.
  • Mostly completed dash special effects.
  • Created dash cooldown UI.
  • Fixed timing bug in player dash.
  • Added player models.
  • Fixed suction areas.
  • Added a skybox.

Music

  • FMOD setup iteration 1.
  • FMOD event setup for different arrangements and instrumentation for different levels and actions in the game.
  • FMOD event setup for one-shot sounds like dash and propel.
  • Created gameplay themes -MIDI and audio file formats).

Art

  • Updated arena model.
  • Added textures for all player characters.
  • Added rigging for characters.
  • Prototyped flying animation.

Discoveries

  • Our biggest problem was that the player character was too hard to identify. We'll be putting a lot of effort into making each player character easy to identify throughout the game.

Next Steps

CS

  • Change round gameplay to Smash Bros. time based gameplay.
  • Change dash cooldown to use a glow effect instead.
  • Fix the dynamic camera.
  • Have players bounce off the front wall when they touch it.
  • Rework the right joystick to also include X axis motion.
  • Color code all elements related to the player character.
